What is TRETBASE DBMS?

TRETBASE DBMS is a disk-based Database Management System. TRETBASE caters to the REBOL developer to provide them a back-end solution to their development requirements. TRETBASE is NOT an SQL database. However, the design of TRETBASE allows for an SQL dialect to be built on top of TRETBASE's native functions. TRETBASE is small but very powerful, weighing in at less than 30 Kilobytes. It allows for easy implementation of custom and complex queries or database operations using the versatility of the 'DB/SEARCH function in block-mode. The image datatype along with most of REBOL's vast datatype inventory is also supported and compression/decompression of images is performed on the fly.

TRETBASE requires REBOL version 2.7.6 available from the downloads at REBOL Technologies.
